Work is considered where the clinical or operational requirement is clear and the assignment can be supported safely within the commissioning provider’s governance. Where appropriate, we can recommend CQC-registered providers we currently work with upon request.

Clinical practice is undertaken in accordance with the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics, the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Paramedics, and the governance arrangements of the commissioning provider.

Effective integration starts before anyone arrives on site. The provider, environment, scope and responsibilities should be understood first.

Provider caveat: clinical work is undertaken within the agreed scope, local policies and governance arrangements of the commissioning provider. Any recommendation or discussion from Compass does not replace the provider’s own clinical governance, authorisation or statutory responsibilities.

We learn how the service works, where additional capability is needed and what the assignment actually requires.

Assignments should match clinician competence, registration, indemnity and any provider-specific requirements.
